New Directions Holdings Ltd
New Directions Holdings is a Cardiff based recruitment agency providing recruitment solutions to various professional sectors across South Wales and the rest of the nation. They recently went through a company restructuring and wanted to relaunch with new designs and content for all nine of their department sites, along with their online candidate services portal. We were also tasked with the development work for holding group sites, and will be updating the visual design of these in due course.
Originally supplied with the designs, we've since greatly modified these to produce a more accessible and user friendly site. We've set up each individual website using WordPress to power the site. We have written custom template pages for each section and integrated the vacancy section with their own internal recruitment database system using the database's own Windows Components along with PHP.
The new sites have been coded to ensure compliancy with the DDA and to produce valid semantic markup to improve both the visitor's and search engine spider's experiences. We've also introduced RSS feeds for the vacancies to allow job seekers to keep track of new jobs anonymously via a feedreader on the web, their computer or even their mobile telephone1. This gives greater exposure and therefore an increased change of filling each vacancy quicker.
