About the Directors

David Anderson

David Anderson is a graduate from North West England who first noticed the value of the Internet in the early 1990s while using it as a research tool to aid his academic studies. He created his first web site shortly after graduating in 1997, and began to establish himself as a freelance developer while also working in a variety of roles for several UK companies, until eventually starting his own business.

David discovered the web standards movement early in his career and quickly adapted his working practices to utilise the power and versatility of CSS and semantic HTML. He has been sharing his knowledge with members of web development forums for close to a decade, has written about CSS for Practical Web Design magazine and was the Technical Reviewer for "The Essential Guide to CSS and HTML Web Design" published by Friends of Ed.

Sarah Anderson

Sarah has been creating personal websites since 1996 and, on graduating from University in 1999 with a degree in Mathematics and Computing, she looked to get a job in the web development field which came in 2000 at a company in London. After a year in her job she had already started to build a small client base of her own and decided to go into business for herself full time. After 8 years of hard work and sheer determination Sarah had built a successful business and broad client base.

Sarah specialises in PHP programming and uses the jQuery framework to provide Ajax interactions to further enhance websites and systems; she also has a strong focus on web standards and accessibility. Sarah has written WordPress tutorials for Practical Web Design magazine and used to write for the very popular BloggingTips.com website on the topics of WordPress coding and HTML/CSS.
